We closed the 2019 show season with the November 11 Foothills show. Janet let us use the little covered arena for our beginners ring so they didn’t have to compete against other show circuits. A big shout out to the show managers that hosted shows all year. The weather doesn’t always cooperate but they try to put on a safe venue for all. We have to thank all the members and their parents that joined CEC and supported these shows. Congratulations to all the CEC year end winners.
This year we rented a new facility for our banquet and it was more expensive than the previous years but we have grown and needed the extra space. We asked for division sponsors and we got all but two divisions sponsored and we can’t thank those sponsors enough. We had so much positive feedback that we feel it was a good decision. We could go back to a buffet style dinner with tables to sit down and eat. There was plenty of room to walk around and get up to the awards table. The decorations were a nice touch and we even had Christmas music. The slide show is always a hit and we even had a photo booth for everyone to get photos done in it. This year we had a silent auction using awards that hadn’t been picked up the last several years. A lot of people went home with some nice things without having to pay full price for them. Sydney Conto donated a photo session that was a big hit with the bidders. Nutrena donated a saddle pad and goody bag as well. Hopefully we can book it again for next year.
The 2020 show schedule is posted and we hope to see everyone signing up and starting the new season December 21 at Voxton Farm.
